WINDHOEK, 11 AUG (NAMPA) – A second person died Thursday after an assault and robbery at his home in Swakopmund last week.
A crime report issued Friday by Head of the Namibian Police Public Relations Division, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi said 82-year-old Siegfried Paul Hermuth Strzelecki died at the Marie Douglas Frail Care Centre at the town.
Strzelecki and his wife, 79-year-old Rosvietha Sieglinde, were assaulted during a housebreaking at their Vineta home.
Rosvietha passed away on the same day after she was hit on her head.
Three men implicated in the murder and robbery made their first appearance in the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court earlier this week.

Another murder charge will be added to the already existing charges, according to Kanguatjivi.
