WNDHOEK, 16 DEC (NAMPA) – Three impressive goals in the second half from Orlando Pirates were enough to collect the maximum three points when they beat Tigers at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Friday night.
With rounds 14 and 15 of the Namibia Premier League (NPL) slated for this weekend, Tigers needed a win to keep their hopes of avoiding the bottom three on the log standing alive, before the end of the first leg of the NPL on Sunday.

Govt to refund NamWater N.dollars 235 million

WINDHOEK, 16 DEC (NAMPA) – Government will refund millions of dollars availed to it by the Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) towards some strategies countering the effects of the drought of 2016.
A total amount of N.dollars 235 million dollars, which was used for the deepening of boreholes and improving other water infrastructure, will be returned to the water utility.

Mass memorial for car accident victims held on Okahandja-Karibieb road

OKAHANDJA, 14 DEC (NAMPA) - A mass memorial service was held Thursday for the 10 people who died in a car crash on the Okahandja-Karibib road on 04 December. Over 350 mourners gathered next to the road where the accident happened, some 20 kilometres from Okahandja, to remember and celebrate the lives of the people who died on the spot after the vehicles they were travelling in collided head-on and burst into flames.
